Science
At Warragul Regional College, our Science program is designed to spark curiosity, inspire critical thinking, and equip students with the knowledge and skills to explore the world around them.
We offer a dynamic and hands-on approach to learning, where students engage in practical investigations, problem-solving tasks, and real-world applications across the core scientific disciplines: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science.
From Year 7 through to VCE, our curriculum is built to nurture scientific literacy and inquiry. Students are encouraged to ask questions, design experiments, collect data, and communicate their findings – developing both their scientific understanding and confidence.
Our facilities include fully equipped science labs and access to modern technology and resources. Through partnerships with universities, industry visits, guest speakers, and STEM-related events, we extend learning beyond the classroom to connect students with the broader scientific community.
Whether students are aspiring future scientists or simply exploring their interests, our Science program provides a supportive and engaging environment to discover, investigate, and innovate.
Highlights include:
- Biology: Exploring the complexities of living organisms and ecosystems
- Chemistry: Understanding chemical reactions and the properties of matter
- Physics: Investigating the laws of motion, energy, and the universe
- Environmental Science: Studying the impact of human activities on the natural world
- Laboratory & Research Opportunities: Engaging in hands-on experiments and real-world problem-solving
