YEAR 11

Year 11 marks the official beginning of VCE and is a significant step in each student’s educational journey. At Warragul Regional College, our Year 11 students are supported to take ownership of their learning, develop strong study habits, and pursue pathways that align with their goals and interests.

Students have access to a broad range of VCE and VET subjects, along with opportunities to engage in school leadership, community service, and co-curricular programs. Careers counselling, study support, and wellbeing services are embedded into the Year 11 experience, ensuring every student feels confident and capable as they work towards Year 12.

Whether students are aiming for university, TAFE, apprenticeships or employment, Year 11 is a time to challenge themselves, refine their direction, and grow both academically and personally.

Key Opportunities in Year 11:

  • Full VCE and VET Subject Selection
Students undertake a full program of VCE or VCE Vocational Major subjects, with access to a wide range of academic and applied learning options to suit diverse interests and future goals.

  • VCE Vocational Major (VM) Pathway
An alternative to the traditional VCE, VM offers a hands-on, applied learning approach, ideal for students pursuing trades, TAFE, or direct employment.

  • Careers & Pathways Support
Ongoing career counselling, one-on-one interviews, and exposure to universities, TAFEs, and industry providers help students explore post-school options.

  • Wellbeing & Mental Health Support
With the pressures of senior school, wellbeing remains a priority through dedicated programs, counselling, and support services.
